Itinerary

  • Day 01 - Delhi/Mumbai

    On arrival, be met and this morning, see dabbawalas (weekdays only) at work! Famous for distributing 200,000 tiffin boxes of freshly made food to office workers, this trade is now integral to Mumbai's culture.

    Afternoon, take a city tour of Mumbai. The tour includes visiting The Gateway of India built by the British, Mani Bhawan (home of Mahatma Gandhi during his visit), Dhobi ghat (washerman’s quarter) with drive past Flora Fountain, Victoria Terminus. Towers of Silence, Jain temple onto the Marine dive, Malabar Hill and arrive at Chowpatty beach and enjoy local street food.

  • Day 02 - Mumbai / Aurangabad

    Have a free morning before your flight in the afternoon to Aurangabad.

    On arrival, visit the Daulatabad Fort, destroyed in the 13th century by Hindu rivals and Pan Chakki - an engineering wonder in how it channels water from a spring to grain grinders for pilgrims.

  • Day 03 - Aurangabad / Ajanta Caves / Aurangabad

    Drive 105km to visit the Ajanta caves (Closed on Mondays). Located in the Shahyadri hills, exotic paintings adorn the walls of the caves, depicting Buddhism practices dating back to 650 BC - 200 BC.

  • Day 04 - Aurangabad - Ellora / Mumbai / Dubai

    This morning, drive 30km to the mesmerizing Ellora caves (Closed on Tuesdays). Noted for its exquisite carvings and illustrative figurines, the Ellora Caves house in its midst ­- temples and monasteries belonging to 3 distinct faiths including Hinduism and Buddhism, besides Jainism.

    This evening, check in for your flight back.
