  • Day 01 - Dubai / Santiago

  • Day 02 - Santiago

    Enjoy a tour of Santiago’s city downtown. Start from Plaza de Armas to find the most historical buildings – Cathedral Church of Santiago, the Central Post Office and the National Historical Museum. Then continue along the main avenue to admire the San Francisco Church, National Library and La Moneda (the Government Palace). Afterwards, head to Cerro San Cristobol, where Santiago was founded in 1541 before ending your tour in the older residential area of the West Side of town with interesting architecture and a beautiful horseracing track.

  • Day 03 - Santiago – Valparaiso

    Drive through the rolling countryside and vineyards to the seaside resort of Vina del Mar and the bustling port town of Valparaiso (UNESCO World Heritage Site), and experience the color and culture of these Chilean coastal cities. Stop along the way for wine tasting and enjoy fine dining at one of the many boutique wineries in the region.

  • Day 04 - Santiago / Temuco / Pucon

    Transfer to airport for your flight to Temuco.

    Upon arrival, a representative will meet you at the airport to assist you with the rental car collection. Your destination for today will be the town of Pucon located at the foot of the Villarrica Volcano and at the eastern end of the Villaricco Lake surrounded by extensive native forests.

  • Day 05 - Pucon / San Martin De Los Andes

    Today, experience the natural contrasts between the Chilean and Argentinean slopes of the Andes. Green rolling farmland and lush native forests of the Villarrica National Park will be replaced by the dry but colourful Pampa of the Lanin National Park. The immense Lanin Volcano will be a constant point of reference as you drive through spectacular forests of ancient Araucaria trees growing at the base of the Volcano. 

    Afternoon, reach San Martin de los Andes.

  • Day 06 - San Martin De Los Andes / Bariloche

    Today, drive along the picturesque Route of Seven Lake Grand Circuit to Bariloche, through the Cordoba Pass and along the Traful River to the Alicura Lake. Reaching Valle Encantado, the strange shapes and abstract forms of its volcanic rocks create a fascinating landscape between the Patagonian steppe and the Andean forest. You may easily observe condors along the valley.

  • Day 07 - Bariloche

    Take a scenic drive through the Nahuel Huapi Lake and Bonita Beach and arrive at the foot of Mount Campanario. Ride on a chairlift up to the peak (1,050 meters) for fascinating sweeping views of the city and its surrounds. Continue to Llao Llao Peninsula. Take another scenic drive back to the city.

    Afternoon, explore the Bariloche Town, with its Swiss Style architecture and many lovely boutique, cafes and restaurants.

  • Day 08 - Bariloche / Futaleufu

    Today, cross the mighty Futaleufu River into Chile’s remote southern region – the Carretera Austral (Southern Road) – a remote, unspoiled region of intense natural beauty and is often referred to as one of South America's best road trips.

    Driving Distance: 360km / 5.5 hours

  • Day 09 - Futaleufu

    The Futaleufú's wild, frosty-mint waters have made this modest mountain town famous. Not just a mecca for kayaking and rafting, it also boasts fly-fishing, hiking and horseback riding.

    You can join the different activities arranged by your lodge and enjoy an adventure day!

  • Day 10 - Futaleufu / Puyuhuapi

    Today, continue to Puyuhapi. Visit the Queulat National Park and make a walk to a viewpoint to admire the Ventisquero Colgante, an amazing hanging glacier with waterfalls.

    Driving Distance: 200km / 5 hours

  • Day 11 - Puyuhuapi / Coyhaique

    Continuing our way down Carretera Austral and cross the entire Queulat National Park, and pass by Lago Las Torres and Mañihuales National Reserves. Before arriving to Coyhaique, take a detour to Puerto Aysen and Puerto Chacabuco

  • Day 12 - Coyhaique / Puerto Bertrand

    Today, continue along the Carretera Austral, first passing by the Simpson valley and through wonderful meadow landscapes up through the impressive Cerro Castillo National Reserve. To your right lies the Hudson Volcano, which was covered with wide tracts of land in both Chile and Argentina in volcanic ashes during the last eruption in 1991.

    Driving Distance: 300km / 6 hours

  • Day 13 - Puerto Bertrand – General Carrera Lake

    Morning, drive to Puerto Tranquilo and start your boat excursion to the stunning “Marble Chapels” at the General Carrera Lake, rocky formations of amazing shapes resulting from the wind and water erosion.

  • Day 14- Puerto Bertrand / Posadas Lake

    After breakfast, drive towards the border town Chile Chico, with lovely views of the lake. Once you have entered Argentina, the landscape changes into the typical pampas that cover almost all of Argentina’s Patagonia.

    In Perito Moreno, visit Cuevas de las Manos (Cave of the Hands), a UNESCO site and one of the most important archaeological sites in South America. The caves feature paintings done by the first settlers, ancestors of the Tehuelche people (or Patagones), and date back to different periods from 9300 to 3300 years ago.

    Continue the drive to Posadas Lake where you will spend a night here.

  • Day 15 - Posadas Lake / El Chalten

    Today, set out for an especially long trip to El Chaltén along Route 40. Enjoy the landscapes of the Patagonian Steppe as you head south and arrive in El Chalten, at the foot of the Fitz Roy Mountain Range.

    Driving Distance: 460km / 6 hours

  • Day 16 - El Chalten

    El Chaltén is a small mountain village that lies within the magnificent World Heritage Listed Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. The ice field is the world’s third largest reserve of fresh water.

    Choose from the below self-guided hike:

    Condors Viewpoint (5.5km / 2 hours): this takes you to a viewpoint on the top of a small hill, Cóndores, overlooking the town of El Chaltén with panoramic views of the massifs of Torre, Fitz Roy and the Valley of the Vueltas River.

    Laguna de los Tres (22km / 7-9 hours): Arguably the best viewpoint in the national park, as the name refers to the peaks of Cerros Fitz Roy, Poincenot and Torre, all of which can be seen in the magnificent 360 degree views from the shores of the lake.

    Laguna Torre (20km / 5-6 hours): A reasonably gentle hike up a perfect glaciated valley to wonderful views of Cerro Torre from the lake. The climb is only 250m or 350m if you continue on up to the Mirador Maestri lookout point. 

    Alternatively, enjoy a half-day excursion to Lake Viedma. The depth of the lake allows a pleasant sail close to the coast to observe the imposing massifs of the Andes and Cerro Huemul.

  • Day 17 - El Chalten / El Calafate

    We leave El Chaltén in the morning and continue the journey to El Calafate, the gateway to the most famous glacier in the world, Perito Moreno. Along the way enjoy great views of the Viedma Lake and Glacier, La Leona and Santa Cruz Rivers and the Argentino Lake.

    Spend the late afternoon exploring the town set by the Largo Argentina.

    Driving Distance: 215km / 3.5 hours

  • Day 18 - El Calafate

    Enjoy a full day tour to visit the spectacular Perito Moreno Glacier. Take easy walks on the footbridges located in front of its western wall to admire different viewpoints. Also visit the Glacier Museum – an impressive modern interpretation glaciological centre.

    Optional: Embark on mini-trekking  (Available August to May only). Take a 20min ferry across the Argentinean Lake, enjoying breathtaking views of the glacier. After 2 hours of hiking, enjoy packed lunch somewhere on the ice and descent to your boat. Continue on the footbridges in front of the glacier for another perspective.

  • Day 19 - El Calafate / Torres del Paine

    Drive across the Patagonian Steppe to the Chilean border “Cancha Carrera” and onward to Torres Del Paine National Park. Arrive at your lodge.

  • Day 20 - Torres del Paine

    Choose your excursions from a range of treks, horseback rides and trails. The Park was declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO for its singular beauty and ecology. Learn the unique way of life of its human inhabitants: the gauchos and their estancias (ranches).

  • Day 21 - Torres del Paine / Punta Arenas / Santiago

    After early breakfast, drive to Punta Arenas for your flight home.
