Itinerary

  • Day 01 – Dubai / Ho Chi Minh City
    Fly Dubai/ Ho Chi Minh City EK 392 0925/1925 - Daily (7h) 

    Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. 

     

     
  • Day 02 – Ho Chi Minh City

    Visit the War Remnants Museum, where you learn the city's darkest and most tragic hours during the Vietnam War. Next, proceed to the Reunification Palace, once a symbol of the South Vietnamese Government.

    Continue to the Central Post Office, designed and constructed by the renowned architect Gustave Eiffel. Just behind the post office is the Notre Dame Cathedral, an iconic Saigon landmark built in neo-Romanesque style by the French between 1863 and 1880.

    Optional Saigon After Dark with Vespa:
    Hop on board your vintage Vespa scooter with your own driver and set off into the city’s frenetic streets, passing through cultural highlights, local eateries and live music venues with drinks and snacks

  • Day 03 - Ho Chi Minh City

    Meet you food expert today for a morning Pho Trail with Saigon Street Food Walk. Start with a bowl of Pho and Vietnamese coffee before wandering around the backstreet past bakeries and local shops. Walk through a chaotic local wet market with fresh product, live seafood and a noisy eating area and pick up some snacks and tropical fruits.

    Afternoon, drive 2.5 hours to Cu Chi Tunnels after the morning crowds have left. The tunnels were built by local fighters during the Indochina conflict as a base from which the Viet Cong could operate from close to the Southern Vietnamese capital. 

     Optional: Watch the AO Show featuring acrobatic performances with imaginative visual creation!

  • Day 04 - Ho Chi Minh City / Danang / Hoi An

    Transfer to the airport for your flight.

    Enjoy a Hidden Hoi An walking tour, let your guide take you to the secret sights of this lovely riverside township and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Day 05 - Hoi An

    Break away from the typical tourist sights and enjoy a morning with the local fisherman in Hoi An for a unique cultural window into the Vietnamese way of life. Try rowing the basket boat before enjoying a sumptuous home cooked lunch.

    Optional Half Day My Son Tour
    You drive 1 ½ hour to visit My Son, one of the most important Cham site in the country set amongst lovely hills. My Son is another of Vietnam’s UNESCO World Heritage Site

  • Day 06 - Hoi An / Hue

    Drive along the South China Sea Coast and over the Hai Van Pass (Pass of the Clouds) to Hue, the former imperial capital. Tour the Imperial Citadel with the Forbidden Palace, modelled after the Imperial Palace of China and visit Thien Mu Pagoda and the Khai Dinh Tomb, an interesting blend of Western and Eastern architecture and located on a steep hill.

  • Day 07 - Hue / Hanoi

    Transfer to the Hue airport for your flight.

    Fly Hue/Hanoi VN 1540 1045/1155 - Daily (1hr 10min)


    Let your guide lead youthrough the Old Quarter's 36 streets. Take a stroll through the back alleys and traditional houses. Enjoy a cup of Vietnamese coffee overlooking the Hoan Kiem Lake. Visit the Ngoc temple on the tiny island.

    Then your guide will take you on a culinary adventure, sampling street food in the Old Quarter. Try a range of tasty noodles, breads, flame grilled barbeque skewers and end off with a dessert.

  • Day 08 - Hanoi

    Visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (open in the morning only and closed Mon and Fri), his Former Residence and Temple of Literature - the first University and the capital of Vietnam 1000 years ago.

    After a traditional lunch, visit the Vietnamese Women's Museum, an excellent showcase of women's role in the Vietnamese society and culture and how it has changed over time. Then, visit the thought-provoking Hoa Lo Prison, where John McCain famously spent part of his 5.5 years as a POW in. 

    Have some free time in the 36 bustling streets of the Old Quarters

    Optional: Go for and unique behind the scenes visit of the Tuong Theatre – a unique variation of Chinese opera dating back to the Nguyen dynasty. Then, enjoy the show with highly stylized acting and elaborate costumes

  • Day 09 - Hanoi / Halong Bay

    Head 4 hours to Halong Bay and board your overnight junk. After lunch, take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panorama view of the bay. As the day wanes, slip into a kayak or swim in the cool water before enjoying a sumptuous dinner under the moonlit sky. (Note: Program may differ slightly based on cruise ships).

    Optional: Reduce the drive to Halong Bay to a 45 minute seaplane flight with impressive aerial views over Hanoi and Halong Bay.

  • Day 10 - Halong Bay / Hanoi / Dubai

    Greet the new day with Tai Chi exercise before visiting a beautiful limestone grotto to admire its many unique rock formations.Enjoy lunch in the village before a 1-hour water puppet show and drive back to Hanoi airport.
