  • Day 01 - Dubai/Reykjavik

  • Day 02 - Reykjavik/ Thrihnukagigur Volcano/Reykjavik

    Ever wondered how the inside of a volcano looks inside? Drive 30km from Reykjavik. Descend 120m into Thrihnukagigur volcano, which erupted 4000 years ago, through the top crater into the ground floor of magma chamber, via a cable lift. (Join-in, with specialist guides.)

    Afternoon, head to the Blue Lagoon, a unique spa featuring a huge outdoor lagoon filled with geothermal hot water.

  • Day 03 - Reykjavik/ Thingvellir/Geysir/ Hella

    Visit Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the few places in the world where you can see the effects of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates pulling apart. Snorkel between 2 continents in the crystal clear water in the deep fissure gives you a feeling of being weightless as you float down with the lazy current. (Note: Certified divers can choose to do a dive instead)

    Explore the Geysir hot spring area before seeing Gullfoss waterfalls – the “Golden Falls” where you can witness white water thundering down a 32 meters drop into an impressive canyon.

    Today go horse-riding and learn about the beautiful Icelandic horse.

  • Day 04 - Hella/ Þormork Canyon Super Jeep/ Hella

    Journeydeep in Þórsmörk canyon and we will continue the tour by jeep. This area of pristine beauty is only accessible by 4x4 vehicles due to the many rivers and streams that have to be forged. A truly beautiful and rugged landscape where glacier tongues pitted with volcanic ash spill down over the jagged peaks of the surrounding mountains.

    Optional Recommendation: Take a helicopter ride to the top crater of Eyjafjallajökull Volcano. See the aftermath of the infamous 2010 eruption that melted a hole in the glacier that sits atop the volcano – from the best place: the top! We will also see Gígjökull that was cut in half by the hot lava during the eruption in 2010. From there we head to the second eruption site from 2010, Fimmvörðuháls and make a stop to enjoy the view.

  • Day 05 - Hella/ South Coast/Skaftafel

    Start your adventure along the south coast, which is a magical area of bewitching landscapes. This area is quite spectacular with the black sand and hard ocean waves beating the shore of Reynisfjara beach – known as black sand beach. The rock formations of Reynisdrangar are a signature landmark.

    During this trip we visit the charming local town Víkí Mýrdal and two of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls; Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss both thundering down 60 meters. We’ll also visit Dyrhólaey; a 120 meter high rock inhabited by numerous types of birds, including the puffin, and to top it off we’ll make a short stop at Sólheimajökull glacier tongue where you get a chance to observe the amazing glacier and take a short hike on the ice. (Ice hike is conducted join in basis – surcharge applies for private tour)

  • Day 06 - Skaftafell/ Jökulsárlón/ Reykjavik

    Spend a full day exploring the largest glacier in Europe – Skaftafell.

    We start the day at Cape Ingolfshofdi, which is an isolated headland on the coast half way between Skaftafell in Vatnajokull National Park and Jökulsárlón ice lagoon. Go on the Ingólfshöfði tractor tour to see the puffins. (Join in basis)

    Next we’ll head east to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where huge, aqua-blue icebergs dot this mystical space. Cruise the Jökulsárlón Glacial lagoon on zodiac (Join in basis)

    In the afternoon, fly back to Reykjavík.

  • Day 07 - Reykjavik /Dubai

    You will head to a local ranch, where you will go on a 1.5-2 hour guided horseback ride on the Icelandic horse, a pure breed brought here by Viking settlers over 1,000 years ago. (Join in basis)

    Return back to Reykjavik where you have time to enjoy lunch and do some shopping, before transferring back to airport.

    Optional Extension: 4-Night Greenland

    Just over 3 hours away from Iceland is Greenland – a World away! In the remote town of Ilulissat,  get familiar with this traditional Greenlandic town north of the Polar Circle and see the floating icebergs on the unique Disco Bay. Ilulissat means iceberg in Greenlandic and is aptly named.  When approaching the town by air, you‘ll be able to see icebergs that have broken off the ice sheet sail through the Kangia ice fjord.  The icefjord is part of the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2004, and old hunter settlements are also found nearby, in the Sermermiut valley.



    Day 07 - Reykjavik / Ilulissat
    Transfer to the domestic airport of Reykjavik to catch your flight to Greenland.

    Be met on arrival by your guide on arrival with a welcome briefing on private basis.

    This afternoon, take an afternoon hike (join in basis) to the abandoned settlement Sermermiut swhere traces from the 3 old Inuit cultures can still be seen. Visit the UNESCO designated Ilulissat Icefjord – and enjoy the stunning view over the Icebergs. (2 hours).

    Day 08 - Ilulissat
    Have a full day tour to Eqi Glacier. Cruise and approach the edge of this 50m high, 5km wide glacier and witness it calving. Enjoy lunch onboard. On the way back to Ilulissat we will keep our eyes open, and hopefully spot some whales.

    Day 09 - Ilulissat
    Today, take a cultural city walk of Ilulissat (2 hours) for n enhanced understanding of the Greenlandic culture and history, and the modern life 300 km north of the Arctic Circle. Visit the fishermen at the harbour and the hunters at their trading post “Brædtet and the house where the famous explorer Knud Rasmussen was born.

    Afternoon is at leisure. You might want to take a Whale-watching Safari or a Helicopter Trip over the Ilulissat Glacier (Optional, at own cost).

    Tonight, take a midnight sailing among Icebergs (timing may differ depending on month).
